VERTEBRAL COLUMN 

There are total 26 bones in vertebral column.

24 separate vertebral column

One sacrum is formed from five fused vertebrae.

One Coccyx is formed from from between three to five small vertebrae.

Vertebral column is divided into defferent part

PARTS OF VERTEBRAL COLUMN 

Cervical vertebrae ( first 7 vertebrae which present on the the neck ) are also called cervical spine.

Thoracic vertebrae12 vertebrae present in thoracic region called thoracic vertebrae or thoracic spine.

Lumber vertebrae -Five vertebrae present in lumber region called lumbar vertebrae or lumbar spine.

THE BODY OF VERTEBRAL COLUMN.

The body of vertebral column present anteriorly,each vertebral body is different size.body of the cervical vertebrae is smaller than body of lumbar vertebrae.

THE VERTEBRAL ARCH

It is surround the the vertebral foramen.

It is form the lateral wall and posterior wall of  Vertebral column.

Pedicle is a short thin bone which connects to body of the vertebral column to the the vertebral arch.
