There are 14 bones present on the face.

  • 1-Nasal bone(2 bones)
  • 2-Lacrimal bone(2 bones)
  • 3-Inferior nasal concha. (2 bones)
  • 4-Maxilla(2 bones)
  • Mandible(1 bone)
  • Vomer(one bone)
  • Zygomatic(2bones)
  • Palatine(2 bones)

NASAL BONE OF FACE(2bones)

It is two small bone which forms the bridge of the nose situated on the top of the nose.

LACRIMAL BONES(2 bones)

There are 2 lacrimal bones present in each eye socket to support eye in eye socket.it is situated in anterior part of the medial wall of eye.its size same as little finger nail. It forms nasolacrimal canal which is necessary for tear translocation

MAXILLA(2bones)

It is also called an upper jaw.its take part to form the nose, palate, and orbit and hold the upper teeth. It\’s responsible for communication and mastication.

INFERIOR NASAL CONCHA (2 bones)

It is a scroll-shaped pair bone situated at the lateral wall of the nasal cavity. It is also called turbinate. When we breathe the inferior nasal concha filters and humidity air and that humidity air go through the trachea to lungs.

MANDIBLE(1 bones)

It is movable facial bone.it forms the chin and sides of face.it is also called a lower jaw. its help to keep lower teeth in place.

VOMER(1bones)

It is little one bone situated near the bottom of the nasal hole.it is separate the nasal cavity into left and right side

ZYGOMATIC BONES(2 bones)

Zygomatic bone or cheekbones situated on the lateral side of each eye socket.it is pair bone.

PALATINE BONE(2bones)

It is a paired bone and L shaped bone located between the maxilla and the sphenoid bone .

It is Lshaped pair bone form the part of nasal compartment and hard palate situated between the maxilla and solenoid bone.
