CLITORIS

1-It is a female external sex organ.

2-It composed of glans,a body,and two crura.(the head of clitoris is called glans of clitoris)

3-The body of clitoris is hang down from the pubic bone by a short ligament and become visible a very small glans at the top of the vulva externally.

4-There is a sheath of skin over the glans of clitoris which is called clitoral hood. it protect the tip of the clitoris.

5-The sensitive nerve endings present in glans of clitoris which play\’s a main role in tactile sexual stimulation.

6-There is a long and narrow part continue internally from the glans of clitoris which is called body of clitoris.it is cylinder shape about 2 to 3 cm

7-The two corpora cavernosa are erectile tissue continue from the body of clitoris. When sexual stimulation occur it fills with blood and devlop erection.

8-The paired crura devided into two parts and extend laterally from the body of clitoris.

9- The vestibular bulb join at the anterior part of urethral opening.it is erectile tissue and elongated mass situated both side of vaginal opening.at the time of sexual arousal the vestibular bulb fill with blood and become engorged.

10-Clitoris is alike to the penis in the male.
