1-It is inner lips and and smaller than labia majora in skin fold so that it is called labia minora.(minora means minor)
2-Labia minora are soft thin fold of skin situated between the labia majora.
3-Anteriorly they surround the clitoris and posteriorly they join and form fourchette.
4-Labia minora are fat free area and hair not present in this part.
5-It consist of sensory nerve endings( sensory nerve endings means a nerve that transmit sensory message in the direction of central nervous system, such as pain and touch)
6-It consist of sebaceous glands (sebaceous glands means ,small gland present in the skin which secretes oily substance (sebum) into the hair follicles to moisture the skin and hair)
7-Internal surface of labia minora consist of pink colour mucous membrane.
8-Labia minora consist of spongy tissue with many small blood vessel.
9-Labia minora are two thin fatless skin situated both side of the vaginal opening.
